[pct-l] Castle Crags State Park To Close

It has to hurt Amaretti's business. Their restaurant closed several years
ago. They still sell a lot of gas and grocery items to the campers who now
won't be coming, and I can't see many I-5 tourists pulling off just for gas
there. 

The P.O. is an unknown. The USPS wants to close a lot of these small rural
POs in the  near future for cost savings.

I read today that the park closures will go into effect on July 1, 2012.

As for Castle Crags, I would miss the PCT hiker camp site with the shower
facility. The car traffic around there would no doubt diminish, so a hitch
into Dunsmuir or Mt Shasta might be harder. Hopefully, Amaratti's and the
P.O. wouldn't be affected.

I'm sure everyone will adapt.
