Not sure how "near" you want, but the Merced Amtrak station is also a YARTS stop (regional bus service).  YARTS will take you to and from Yosemite.  Check it out at www.yarts.com

  Please let me know if you have knowledge of any Amtrak stops near California PCT trailheads or California PCT road crossings. My idea is to use the California Rail Pass for the 21 day period, starting in a couple of weeks, to access various California portions of the PCT to build experience for a 2013 thru-hike.
