Hello Pacific Crest Trail Volunteers,
Saturday May 21, the Pacific Crest Trail Association will hold a work
project in Section E in the northwest corner of the Angeles National
Forest. If you ever thought you’d like to volunteer to help maintain one
of our country’s premier long-distance scenic trails, this is a good
opportunity.

We’ll be performing brushing and treading in Mile 477, at the 3500’
elevation in San Francisquito Canyon, just above Green Valley.

Meet at 0730 in the parking lot of the Green Valley USFS Fire Station:

We will then shuttle a short distance up the road and park on the
shoulder at the trail crossing before walking in a very short distance
to start work.
PCTA will supply all equipment and tools. Volunteers should bring their
daypack, a sack lunch, minimum 2 qts water, and will need to dress in
leather work gloves, robust footwear and long sleeved shirt, and sun
protection. Bring insect repellent as well.
Feel free to forward this on to other interested parties. Please respond
directly to me by email if interested in volunteering on this project.

THANKS,

Kevin Corcoran
