I wouldn't carry the EpiPen, and I wouldn't suggest to others to carry it
either.  It's a prescription medication, so if you were to use it on someone
you could be held liable for medical malpractice.  That being said, if you
find someone on the trail passed out or experiencing anaphylactic shock and
they have an EpiPen in their first aid kit, it's legal for you to help them
administer it (if concious) or (gray area) to administer it if they are
unconcious (implied consent laws).  Just did my WFA certs and this was the
answer to my question about EpiPens.
