I always carry Flagyl, and prednisone for those reasons Sabra, and used both on my hike one time each. It would have been a real pain to get a Dr. to prescribe them when I needed them, and I was glad to have brought them. The prednisone is primarily for bee and wasp stings which are very debilitating for me. Shroomer
