Yeah, but you already can assume the weight of an 11lb won't be a
problem for you. If you have the same items but they are just warmer
versions of it, it's really quite the same. You'll have a chance to
play with your stove. See if you miss anything you left at home. See
if your tent works. See if your pack feels good. If it all works
fine, you can be sure that your 11lb version of this stuff also
works. Since you aren't in as dry a place as you'll be in So Cal, the
actual weight of your stuff will probably be quite similar since in
So Cal you'll be replacing warmer gear for heavier water.
