As our students learn, when it is nasty outside (especially wet and cold 
weather), stop, pitch, and stay warm and dry until it is all over. If it has 
just snowed more that an inch per hour or dumped more than a foot on top of 
an existent snow pack, just stay put for a day to wait for the avalanche 
hazard to subside.

Big storms like these are nothing to worry about, just know what to do and 
how to get through them. That's why Mountain Education is here!
