[pct-l] campsite selection

Loving the advice I've been getting from everyone, so just thought I'd throw
this question out there.  What is your criteria for selecting a campsite?
 Do you hold out for an established site?  Do you just plunk yourself down
wherever you happen to be when it starts to get dark?  I know I can find a
decent spot for myself, just curious what everyone else looks for.
