[pct-l] Lost Coast

I'll second support for a nice four or five day trip on the Lost Coast.
It takes effort to get there. If you don't own a bear canister, you
have to arrive at the store in Petrolia when it's open to rent one (or
did three years ago). If you have two cars, it's a four to five hour
drive from one end of the trail to the other. If you go in from the
north and come out the same way, it's just a long drive from anywhere.
I hiked it in June and over four days saw NO other hikers.

Imagine having to time arrival at a high bluff at low tide so you can
walk on slippery, seaweed and fine green stuff coated rocks as waves
crash at your feet on the rocks. There are creeks that come out of the
looming 4000' coast range that you have to cross. There are whimsical
and fantastical driftwood sculptures all along the walk, as well as rude
driftwood shelters that semi-protect from the foggy 25 mph wind.

Just some of the highlights...
