Mountain Education taught one of its "Basic" Snow Skills Training Courses 
above Idyllwild in Saddle Junction on Mt. San Jacinto last year after the 
Kickoff and we were on a good 3 to 4 feet of snow. Take your ice axe, 
gaitors, traction devices, and so forth from the border north...

Was wondering in a year like this, what to expect snowwise down in the 
Jacinto Mtns. Also, how much snow should I plan for before I hit the 
Sierra's.
