[pct-l] Annual Irresponsible Sierra Entry Date Prediction (AISEDP)

Last year was supposed to be a late-melt / heavy snow year also.  We left KM on 3 June.  Due to various reasons, we had a longer-than-planned layover in Lone Pine, so we didn't cross Forester Pass until 13 June.  It's easier ON the snow than IN the snow, if you have the right equipment, know how to use it, and have plenty of food.  And have a group that will stay together.

Ray-Day is for fair weather hikers who can only walk on rocks or dirt.

Don't ask me how to pronounce this acronym, please.

>From the Sierra snow records it looks like a late year so far, with 125 or more percent snow accumulations.

So this year . . . drum roll please . . . the date is . . . June 23rd!
