I recommend putting your pack inside a large duffel bag and then check it in
like normal luggage.  You can mail the duffel back home from Campo.

You certainly could just check the pack as is.  That carries the risk of a
pack strap getting caught into the luggage conveyor belts, which could rip
the pack.
