[pct-l] Lake Isabella/Isabella Supermarket

As mentioned, Lake Isabella has a full-service grocery.

To follow up on Jackass's post re hitching, last summer I was trying to hitch to LI from Walker Pass.  A guy picked us up who was going to Kernville and suggested we go there and ride the bus to LI.  He said that would be easier than being dropped off in Onyx and hitching to LI.  We ditook his advice, and it was a breeze.  The bus came by where he let us off within 10 minutes of our drop-off.  The fare is $1; exact change only, so have some ready.  The bus dropped us off right at the LI motel; I think the driver made a new stop, just for two of us.

If you get an offer to ride to Kernville instead of LI, take it.  The next leg is no problem.

Hola PCT-L,

Was wondering if anyone's stopped at the Isabella Supermarket lately, and if
so, whether or not you think it would be a viable option for resupply. If
not I'll just ship something to Onyx to get me to Kennedy Meadows, or just
buy sardines, jerky et al. at the chevron.

Thanks! Got my permit today so I'm psyched!
