[pct-l] Starting a thru-hike in January from San Diego?

Being realist I would suggest  leaving Springer  Mountain if you must do 
one of the three big ones in January. Another good  choice would be the 
Florida Trail. There are many other nice and varied Trails  in the Southern part 
of this great Country that won't kill you in the  winter.
