That certainly is very tragic. Now the kids have lost their parents - but were very lucky to also go down. Some people are brave and bold and risk-takers by nature. At least those three will get the Darwin Award.

Utterly tragic and so unnecessary. And they tried to get their kids to go
over the rails too?
Guard rails and warning signs are there for a reason; ignore them at your
peril. What's next; does the park have to station rangers there full-time?
This is a big part of why the rangers at Yosemite are so anal and strict;
they have to protect the careless and clueless from themselves.
