[pct-l] Advice for the Oregon section...too much snow??

Hello hikers, 

Based on the NOAA SnoTels in Oregon it looks like snow is melting at a rate of about 3" a day. Today, Big Red Mt reads zero and Annie Springs is 30". If this continues it seems like even heavy snow around Crater Lake and Timberline Lodge should be manageable by August. Does this seem to be a reasonable assumption? Am I missing something?
