I believe that this movie is based on the book, "The Long Walk (The True
Story of a Trek to Freedom)" by Slavomir Rawicz. I read this story on the
trail last year. The author swears that everything in the story is
true...but I have my doubts about some of the claims. I am sure that his
claims of seeing a Yeti in the Himalaya is beyond scrutiny and to be
believed in its entirety.
