I'm going to be in Yosemite NP for a volunteer week this summer. After that week, I hope to get a backcountry permit to do some hiking. If I don't make the cut is there another option for me? Are there trailheads outside of the park that I can reach via YARTS (I won't have a car). Any thoughts? Thnx!
