I would suggest that shipments to any place that might have a rodent
problem might be a good idea.

For example Muir Trail Ranch requires it.

I never had a problem with shipped food to Post Offices being
bothered. I would imagine that Federal Postal Facilities probably have
different standards for pest eradication than ranger's huts.
