i had it happen on the AT

... we take our boxed and double line them in trash bags,  the inner bag gets 
vacuum sealed, and the out bag does not.  never had a rodent problem since;  
presumably the double barrier keeps smell in; and prevent and crumbs etc. from 
making their way out and enticing animals.

Subject: [pct-l] Mice

Friends of mine hiking the Wonderland Trail a few years back sent themselves
a food package C/o one of the ranger stations in MRNP.  Upon retrieving it,
they found that mice had invaded the box (presumably) while it was stored in
the ranger's quarters.  I suppose it's a silly question, but has anyone else
experienced similar issues?  Any suggestions (line the box with tinfoil?)?
