We were going to get the Duo but got the Six Moon Haven and Net tent.

Same size floor, can be set up seperatly, and four oz lighter.

Six Moons are bigger than the other.

Subject: [pct-l] Tents: Lunar Duo or Double Rainbow

I know that this topic has been talked to death on other forums (and maybe
also on this one), but my boyfriend and I have been going back and forth on
which tent to buy. We figured we should ask pct-l, since you all have the
most relevant experience.

So far the pros and cons as far as we can see are:

Double Rainbow:
pros: can be free standing, cheaper, smaller footprint for camping with less
space, and if we make it all the way to Canada, being able to say "double
rainbow all the way!"
cons: less space, seam-sealing issues, splashing issue in heavy rains

Lunar Duo:
pros: seam sealing is easier, no splashing issue, ability to have 4 people
comfortably play cards inside the tent
cons: $65 more expensive, after buying stakes, bigger footprint

So, if you had to pick, which one would you take? Is the $65 worth it? We
are on a budget.

Thank you all!
