Mike anything is possible!!!!
Has it been done?....Not yet.
Can you do it?...You need to ask yourself that question.
Read the below letter from Scott Williamson to me and see if that will
answer your question.

Scott Williamson, a Triple Crowner, with 14 PCT thru-hikes including 2
yo-yos and 2 PCT records is the undeniable, undisputable,
unquestionable "King of the PCT".

Mike, before you embark on your journey, ask yourself....do you have
what it takes to beat that record by 5 days, 9hrs, and 58 minutes?
If the answer is yes.....GO FOR IT!!!!
If the answer is no.......you better think it over.

Hey Reinhold, Just wanted you to know that Adam and I broke Davids record!
We finished at 9:58 PM on 8/12 after a 51 mile day.(We started on 6/8 at
12 PM) David's record was 66 days, 7 hours, 16 minutes.
We finished in 65 days, 9 hours, 58 minutes, breaking it by less than a
day, but we did this as backpackers without support, never rode in a
car thus we walked into and out of all of our resupply towns and stuck
to the official PCT 100% of the way, including around the closed glacier
peak section.
I lost 25 pounds, but feel pretty good, but this hike was not easy!!
Doing this has only given me even more respect for David Horton and what
he did in 2005 which was such a high snow year.
That guy is one of my heroes, in addition to you!
Anyhow you are the first person outside of David and Joe I have told.
I wanted you to know first.
Feel free to post about it on the list if you wish or tell anyone.
I am proud to have done it along with Adam, but rather than feeling
triumphant I feel lucky just to have made it to the end of a hike in
which we averaged 40.5 miles a day for 65 days straight.
I will be in touch.

  Your friend, Scott
