Yoshihiro is right, it should be easy from there.  Make sure to say hi to
Doug who owns the Whitney Portal store, and recently built the Hiker Hostel
in Lone Pine.  He's a great guy who took in Calorie and his brother, Double
Check, for several weeks last year after the accident on Kearsarge Pass.  He
had Double Check working at the Portal Store for room and board for the both
of them while Calorie healed up.  He's a real friend to thru's in my
opinion.
