Mike,
I don't expect anyone will be selling my maps at the kickoff.
My maps are a free service I provide to PCT hikers. The Kickoff does
have a few vendors and I will be at the Kickoff, but not in the role
of a vendor since that's not what I am. I usually bring a dozen or so
copies of Section A - D maps that I give to hikers who need them.
I would like to find a San Diego area printer that could provide
hikers with low cost printing of my maps. If anyone knows of any,
please let me know. I do know of a San Diego printer one hiker used
last year but they are inconveniently located, charged more than
LazerQuick and you pay 8 or 9 % sales tax. I expect printing in
southern CA will be more expensive that LaserQuick but I would like it
to be an option especially for foreign hikers or others who are
spending a few days in San Diego packing resupply boxes.
I don't know that LaserQuick the "end-all" of printers, but their
prices seem competitive to me. Kinko's charged about 3 times as much
last time I checked.
I would suggest everyone have maps before the kickoff.
