Yup, and that's the entire point of the discussion, which some people seem
to be missing.  Ken wasn't saying, "Never close a deep wound."  He's a
surgeon, after all.  He closes wounds all the time.  He was saying, "Never
close a deep wound on the trail where it'll probably just become infected."
