[pct-l] crampon-compatible boots in wide sizes?

I have wide feet, and I've been having trouble finding crampon-
compatible boots in wide sizes. I have Grivel crampons with a heel
clamp and a strap that goes through the toe ring. I tried some Scarpa
Invernos, but even though I got them in a fairly long size, the
hinge-rivets killed my ankles. I've heard that Vasque has leather
crampon-compatible boots in wide sizes, but so far their web site
seems to be dysfunctional, and their local retailers aren't even
clear on what crampons are. I'm pretty sure I know my size in Vasque
boots, so I'd be happy to order online, but I'm just not having any
luck getting information. Anyone know anything about this? If I can't
find a crampon-compatible boot in a wide size, I guess the next best
thing would be a relatively thin, lightweight boot (compared to the
double-plastic Scarpas).
