Hi Deems,

The best camping is at Hopkins lake, 6 miles short of the border, but there
are closer spots than that, it's just a really pretty spot.  Water is not an
issue.  There are streams within a mile or two of the monument.  Doing it
twice makes a lot of sense, and I may do that this summer, which will make
it 3 times for me, but it's so beautiful, I'm sure I'll be back up there for
the rest of my life, just as I am w/ the High Sierra.
