I have one - bought it at Trail Days in Damascus from Ron himself.  It was to replace a Stephenson Warmlite that I sold after the AT, like an idiot.  I carried the LS on the PCT (Campo to Sonora Pass) and slept in it almost every night on the trail.  You'll get better at pitching as you gain experience.  I was still learning after 2 1/2 months.  Ron's son was at Kickoff and gave me some tips on pitching to increase air flow inside.  Look for them if you have questions or problems.

I added a couple of extension hooks (fabric) on the ends of the vestibule flaps, to make them easier to hook in wind, dark, etc.  I duct-taped the flap opposite the door zipper so it would stay on the guy line.  That provided a covered vestibule for boots, etc. without having to re-hook it every night.  I carried some strong, light line to augment / lengthen the stake loops.  This will be useful when you camp where you can't get the stakes into the ground and have to use heavy rocks as anchors.

Inspect  your seams and sewn-on flaps frequently; I noticed a tear near one tent stake loop and was able to sew in a reinforcement stitch at the Saufleys.  It is still holding well.

My best advice is to practice as much as you can, especially in the back yard, where you can pitch and take down several times in a short time.  Try it in the rain and wind.  Practice adjusting your trekking pole length to the right height for the tent pole.  The other trekking pole can be twisted around the guy line and stuck in the ground to pull the height up at your "head" end of the tent.  This also stabilizes the line for drying wet socks, etc.

Several thru-hikers used the LS last year, including Slim Jim.  We were learning from each other even past KM.  I will be taking my LS back to Sonora Pass this summer and stumbling northward.

Good luck,
