[pct-l] Which Book to Read ??

Recall, the AA Mallory flashlight. I had one I bought from Bob Shepard's
Sierra Equipment on Polk St in Sf in the early 70's. Bob had drilled a pair
of holes in the case and threaded a short piece of parachute cord to make a
wrist band. Good piece of gear for that day. I remember that each morning I
opened it and reversed one battery so the batteries wouldn't run down if
accidentally switched one; then of course correcting them in the evening.
Good gear but a lot heavier than what we use today.
