Mike,
With technology almost anything is possible, but phones are not yet as
bad as windows computers.
Your probably most vulnerable from:
-Keeping sensitive information on your smart phone, then loosing it.
-Phishing exploits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing
-Installing phone apps from untrusted sources
-Using unsecured Wi-Fi

F-Secure is a company that sells security software for phones and
other computers. I personally don't think it's necessary at this
point, but here's a link to their mobile security tips, which
generally seem like good advice to me:
