Jack,

Wife and I were in the Warner Springs to Barrel Springs area last week and
did meet a Brit on the 15th and 16th at San Ysidro Creek.  Do not recall his
name though.  I've attached a pic of the person we met.  He told us he was
unclear as to whether he would continue his thru-hike and was just hanging
out at places he felt were senic and beautiful.  

Please call me if you feel I can be of further assistance.  I'd be willing
to hike back to the creek and see if he is still there.
