Please try to forget a lot about what you learned on the AT. Any
expectations you may harbor from a walk in the woods through the "Long
Green Tunnel" will not be met. Over the years I've seen GA->ME alumni
be either the most successful, or the most unhappy people on the
trail, depending on their expectations.

As far as snow goes, if you have the right experience it actually can
make travel easier, except for the postholing and the suncups. There
is nothing to fear in a late season stable snowpack. But be be afraid
of the water crossings. Be very afraid.
