Subject: [pct-l] Mt baden powell

Met two more hikers yesterday that tried baden powell.
One turned back after reaching over waist deep snow on the way up, just too deep
to fight, 4.5 miles uphill 3,200 ft elevation gain, to 9300 or so feet.
The other accidently left his brand new stove on the trail, from baden, well
opening pack.
He also missed turn off, proceeded past islip, because snow concealed trail
signs , and trail period, and fell through ice covered raging stream, he was
pinned by ice blocks, and had he not had his ice axe to pry apart ice and chop
out, hey thought he would have probably died.
Gotta love socal.
Be careful eh!
Come on hot weather, melt that snow......
Were doing a hot weather chant here, to encourage the weather gods.
