yeh that's what I thought too til yesterday...had four of them up in my pants!
they will find a way around the deet and permitherin...they're ruthless I'm
telling u...RUTH LESS!

Ideally you would use permithrin and DEET. Treat your clothing with
permithrin before you start your hike. I've even treated the upper section
of my socks. With DEET, you don't need to put a bunch all over the place.
A couple drops will do. That means if you're worried about it messing up
your fabric, you could attach a couple patches just for DEET.
