Looked at the forecast for this Friday, High  19, Low 9.  Wind gusts 80 MPH,
rain then 10" snow.

Ah, I think I might re-pack. The double wall tent and 15 degree bag are
sounding better all the time.

What a trail, 100 in the desert, 9 on the mountain. 

I have heard people say on this site that they pack for 95% conditions and
not the 5%.  The problem with that logic is that it is the 5% that will kill
you. 

Hopefully no one is venturing into that unless fully prepared for a full
scale winter mountaineering adventure.
