[pct-l] public transport from LAX to san diego

amtrack is 31$ from LAX to san diego.

not bad,  very scenic and comfortable.

i could look for city busses online  but the transfers would be a pain in the 
butt.

amtrak is our major passenger rail here:

trip takes 2 hours 45 minutes, and has several departing times.

do you have a host in san diego?  when is your start date?

just wondering... with options like amtrak and greyhound buses, do you need
to book them in advance, or can you just rock up and book a ticket? and is a
greyhound bus likely to be the cheapest way to get san diego from los
angeles?
