[pct-l] Weight loss on a thru hike?]

I've got to agree with Austin.

I gained weight on my two thrus because I planned to eat for three. I never 
"hit the wall" regarding energy or fuel and always had enough food to get to 
the next resupply, still "pig-out" on meals (including large desserts), and 
not have any left over to start the next section (if I did, I ate it!). I 
didn't mind the weight because it was good food to eat and the motivation 
was certainly there to reduce the weight by eating it up daily.
