After 36 continual nights on the snow this last Spring, we thoroughly endorse the Exped Down or Synthetic Mats (with pump).

We had three, two down mats and one synmat. All three were indestructible and kept us toasty-warm on-snow (so much so that we could have brought less insulative sleeping bags!)
