[pct-l] Lost on the JMT: Reds Meadow southbound

Yes.  That was my problem with "Deer Creek".

Actually, north of Devils Postpile,  (see this map)

The trails split for 14 miles!  I highly recommend the JMT.  It is a 
little more up and down, but it takes you past Rosalie, Shadow and 
Garnet Lakes.  The PCT goes up on the side of the San Joaquin river 
drainage, cruising along in a high-and-dry section with no lakes.  
Granted, it is closer to the true Pacific Crest, but otherwise, I'd skip 
it.  The trails finally merge again at Thousand Island Lake.

I DID study the map!  I got messed up when I came to a junction with a 
new trail that was NOT on the map and there were NO trail signs.  Worst 
of all, I walked the trail, and never saw the JMT/PCT split off!
