Ah, my ruse has been discovered. Yes, he just got back from his second, I think a bit faster but this time he didn't hold hands. He turned 10 months yesterday. 

Thanks to all for their encouragement. I gives me faith in this list that no one said he'd never do it.

Hah!  AsABat, are you talking about your grandson?  Don't think he'll be ready 
to join you for your through, but he has plenty of time to up his mileage...:)

I know someone who just started hiking. He really enjoyed his first hike,   
where he did a quarter mile in 40 minutes. Do you think he can someday do a   
thruhike?
