I need a wide toe box, and most shoes I tried were simply too narrow. I
went to the Montrail Sabino, trail runners, when I entered the Sierra, which
have a wider than usual toe box, and used them the rest of the trip. Very
comfortable and held up for between 500 and 700 miles per pair.
