Is there a spur trail from Dunsmuir to the PCT?

It's about 5 miles from the PCT.

If you want to avoid snow, have them fly into San Francisco, take a
bus/taxi to the Amtrak station in SAn Jose or Oakland, and take the
Amtrak to Dunsmuir. Hike from Castella to Seiad Valley - a couple weeks
- and take the bus to Dunsmuir and catch Amtrak back to Oakland and bus
to the airport...

More than likely they would be flying out and taking a bus/train or flying back home. I am looking for options for having them meet up with me and getting them home? I assume it will not be easy but that is part of the adventure!
