It doesn't breath, which is why its very waterproof and works well for things like Tarps.  Some people have been experimenting with it as raingear due to its weight, but the lack of breathability makes this an iffy proposition.  For shelters, it doesn't sag when wet and doesn't really stretch under loading like silnylon.
