I recorded the temperatures for my hike and only experienced one night below 25 degrees. I was so miserable I quickly switched from my 30 degree bag to a 15 degree.

Here is the data I recorded for my 2010 thru-hike. The low temperature range followed by the number of days the temperature hit that low.

20-25F 1
25-30F 1
30-35F 10
35-40F 20
40-45F 26
45-50F 32
50-55F 20
55-60F 22
60F+ 20

I believe a 15 or 20 degree bag should work under typical conditions for most people. This assumes typical PCT hiking time, departing Campo near the end of April (or early May) and finishing in mid to late September. Obviously there are a lot of variables depending on the person and weather that can not be predicted.

I hope this information helps. Good luck on your hike.
