Scout & Frodo have been doing that for several years; not sure if they will be doing it again in 2011 or not. 



In the world they are Barney & Sandy Mann; bmann1 at san.rr.com . 



Also Girlscout and Half Mile did some trail-angeling in San Diego last year, I think.

This past year,  several people i hiked with had a trail angel give them rides 
fro mthe airport to the trail, 

any idea if such a thing will exist in 2011?   i found some incredibly cheap 
flights. 

in 2010 i had a family member driving to california, so i hitched a ride;  but 
this year no such luck. 

obviously a kind donation will be left for any hospitality that someone could 
extend... i just don't know where to look,
