[pct-l] changing subject lines

This post is a good example... Note Paul's first reply branched off the
original and became it's own thread. Fair enough, as it was a different
subject line. But then take his 2nd post - has the same subject line as his
first post, but for some reason has also become a new thread. So I believe
gmail is reading these correctly, but not sure why they split off sometimes
in the first place. Maybe it has something to do with recipient list.
I always try to reply only to the list, but sometimes I do see posts to
persons with the list as a CC. And there is certainly nothing wrong with
that, but I wonder if it affects the threading somehow...
