I cannot understand your situation. It must be a very small problem.
I changed the file name from "gmasupp.img" to "GMASUPP.IMG" and tested
my 60CSx, no problem emerged. But, your machine, I don't know.
My file is gmasupp.img 1.37GB. Was downloaded rightly?

There are many Garmin compatible free maps all over the world. When
you get one, you will get all.

P.S. I changed Firefox to Google Chrome recently, because it is very
fast and seldom crash.
