I grew up without indoor plumbing. An outhouse is easy, dig a deep hole. 
Keep a sack of lime in the little house that you build over the hole, 
and throw a scoop of lime in with each use.

When the hole gets full, dig another hole and move the little house over 
to the new hole.

Corncobs are optional.
