Greetings from Ned via Lady J,

Ned reported in yesterday morning and wanted me to share trail conditions. He was at Trail Pass south of Horseshoe Meadows at an elevation of about 10,500 feet. Last night he had to pitch early with his sons, Matt and John, due to a white out with howling winds. They received about 3 to 4 inches of new snow during the night but woke to clear skies and a temperature of 23 degrees. They left Monday the 10th and had a zero day in Lone Pine last Saturday but didn't return to the trail until Monday because Horseshoe Meadows road was closed because of rocks, snow and a bike race. They have had daily snow showers. Snow level is about 10,000 feet with one to five feet of snow. The snow is consolidated in the morning but they have had to use their gaiters and snowshoes in the afternoon due to post-holing. There is no need for crampons or traction devices just good stiff boots and snowshoes. They are on their way to Siberian Pass Ridge and will communicate soon. Hope you all have enjoyed this report.

Lady J
Juliee (Ned's wife)
