[pct-l] Mother of the PCT?

The PCT has a wonderful friend who many of you know - Barney "Scout" Mann.
For those of you who don't know him, Scout is a thru-hiker, angel, PCTA
board member, and simply a wonderful person who is working hard to protect,
preserve, and promote the PCT and PCTA. Thought you all might enjoy this
article in the Bellingham Herald regarding Scout's quest to know more about
Catherine Montgomery, who is believed to be the first person to envision and
talk about the Pacific Crest Trail.
